President Bill Clinton’s Diet
President Bill Clinton’s Weight Loss Success
While former president Bill Clinton has never denied his love for fast foods and sweets chuck full of fats and calories, but, in recent times he has cut back and he certainly shos it. He told People magazine that some of his favorite meals growing up included “ham or a roast, cornbread, spinach or collard greens, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, peas, green beans or lima beans, fruit pie and lots of iced tea. On a special day, we added homemade ice cream to the pie.”
Of course, quadruple heart bypass surgery in 2004 caused Clinton to veer off fast foods and cut down and even switch to a healthier lifestyle. According to a 2006 New York Times article, Clinton lost 20 pounds in six months after the surgery. “I designed a diet for myself one summer — high protein, low carb, a version of the Atkins and South Beach. But I’m not trying to recommend it to anyone else,” he said.
