Gerard Butler’s super toned body became so popular that many fitness centers around the country mimiced the movide title and offered a “300 Workout” for those desiring the Spartan warrior’s body. To become King Leonidas in the film, Butler spent four months transforming both his body and his mind. His workout included a set of 25 pullups, 50 deadlifts with 135 pounds, 50 pushups, 50 jumps on a 24-inch box and 50 single-arm clean-and-presses using a 36-pound kettle bell. “That was a great thing, to put on that cape and put on that helmet, and not have to think, ‘****, I should have trained more.’ Instead, I was standing there feeling like a lion,” Butler told Men’s Fitness magazine.
